K.A.W.S. Marketing Group Volunteers on World Down Syndrome Day 2013

K.A.W.S. Marketing Group, Inc. got involved with the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta's (DSAA) celebration of World Down Syndrome Day to help raise awareness and understanding for the condition.

2013-04-05
ALPHARETTA, GA, April 05, 2013 (Press-News.org) Down syndrome affects approximately one in eight hundred people worldwide, and this number has only been increasing over time. This condition presents a third copy of the twenty-first chromosome instead of only two, and it is the most common chromosome abnormality. Because both the numbers three and twenty-one are significant in association with Down syndrome, World Down Syndrome Day has been held annually on March 21 (3/21) since 2006. Supporting the DSAA helps individuals and their families get the resources, tools, and knowledge that they so desperately need.

K.A.W.S. Marketing Group, Inc. has continued their efforts in assisting the DSAA both financially and with spirit. For World Down Syndrome Day, there were several ways to show support and get involved. The team at K.A.W.S. has two clear favorites: the Rock Your Socks effort and the Community Give Back Program. In the Community Give Back Program, Ruby Tuesday restaurants across the Atlanta area were donating back 20% to the DSAA for every customer who brought in a flyer. K.A.W.S. always enjoys a weekly office outing to bond as a team, so raising money at the same time just made sense. The Rock Your Socks effort urged people across country to all wear bright, colorful socks on the same day to raise awareness for Down syndrome, and K.A.W.S. went all out. The entire office participated, and you can see a number of pictures of all eighteen of them in their fun, crazy socks on their website or Facebook page.

K.A.W.S. Marketing Group, Inc. has previously helped the community by volunteering and raising money for the Special Olympics, Wounded Warrior Project, and Must Ministries, among others. They have plans for a number of other projects and events this year for more great organizations.

K.A.W.S. Marketing Group specializes in direct sales and marketing by providing their clients and customers with personal touches and individual attention. For more information regarding K.A.W.S.
