BOYNTON BEACH, FL, April 06, 2013 (Press-News.org) When is a cruise not a boat trip? When it's a car show. The Red Hot Blues Cruise, a gathering of spicy food, music and cars is set for 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, along Ocean Avenue just east of Seacrest Boulevard. A FREE event and fun for all.
Just released "Nothing's Too Hot For Me" Hot Pepper Eating Contest now taking applications! Sign up at http://sweetmeliss.wufoo.com/forms/q7x2w5/ Contestants must check-in on location at the "Red Hot Blues Cruise Event" Saturday, April 20, at 5 p.m. to participate. Contest will be at 7 p.m. on the main stage.
Vendors will offer hot pepper dishes as well as milder dishes for the less courageous, and will sell salsas and hot peppers, and relief in the form of ice cream, as well as various arts and crafts.
A day of blues music with live performances by the Joe Tenuto Band, Captain Reese, Boston's Blues All-Stars Band, Blues Dragon and Lowdown 13.
A city-block-long display of classic cars will vie for prizes. Classic Car Show awards for Top 25! All makes and models are welcome. Entry into the competition for advance registration only $20; at gate $25 Entries limited to 150. Registration starts 9 a.m.; Show 11 a.m.; Award Ceremony 4:30 p.m.
Children will be entertained with activities both inside and outside the adjacent Schoolhouse Children's Museum and Learning Center.
The event is being brought to you by the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce, the City and CRA of Boynton Beach, and Seabourn Cove, the greenest apartment buildings in America.
Car show presented by Delray Chrysler Motors and produced by Donnie Hancock.
Music provided by BB King's Blues Club at CityPlace in West Palm Beach, the Backyard and the Two Georges in Boynton Beach, and Boston's on the Beach in Delray Beach.
