DALLAS, TX, April 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Designer Home Surplus has acquired a sizable shipment of Viking Brigade pro-style ranges, a high-end residential model that has been making waves in the ultra-premium appliance market. New management at Viking has chosen to discontinue the premium range series, allowing Designer Home Surplus to offer the existing inventory at a considerable discount to customers.
Led by founder and former CEO, Fred Carl Jr., Viking engineers designed the US Brigade Series to be the definitive high-end gas range for the residential kitchen. Exclusive features like 23,000 BTU brass surface burners and a high-capacity commercial-style oven set the Viking Brigade range apart from its closest competitors. Plans to produce both a 36" and 48" model were stalled when Viking Range Corp came under new ownership in early 2013, and early shipments of the Viking 36" Brigade range have now been acquired by Designer Home Surplus.
"The Viking Brigade range was one of the last new visions for the brand while Viking founder Fred Carl Jr. was at the helm," said Brian Bates, Vice President of Marketing at Designer Home Surplus. "These premium ranges are a true work of art in the pro-style appliance category."
Middleby Corp. purchased the Viking brand earlier this year, and Carl stepped down from his role as Viking's leader. Designer Home Surplus took the unique opportunity to purchase most of the inventory of Viking Brigade ranges to offer the luxury range to customers at a considerable discount.
"Customers should not wait to pursue this opportunity because quantities are limited," Bates said. "This is a chance to acquire a one-of-a-kind, limited model that is no longer in production."
Among high-end range brands, Viking has long been considered a pioneer, and the Viking Brigade was designed to out-perform all other pro-style options in the luxury market. The 36" model is available now at Designer Home Surplus, along with select Viking Brigade Series range hoods.
