Holistic health is an approach to creating wellness which encourages individuals to recognize the whole person: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. The individual is encouraged to actively participate in their health decisions and healing process, and in making wellness oriented lifestyle choices.
In addition to wellness providers, the event will include yoga class demonstrations from Fireshaper teachers, meditation instruction and attendees will have the opportunity to win dozens of raffle prizes from local area restaurants, shops and small businesses.
"Yoga is more than just taking a class, it is a lifestyle of healing that supports individuals and community to reach their fullest potential," says Kate Han, event director and Manager, Fireshaper Rutherford. "We want to offer not only the Fireshaper community, but also the broader community, access to a variety of tools for improving their lives. Many people are searching for better health. And while everyone's path is different, our intention is to offer this expo as a starting place. Ultimately we all grow together."
According to Han, a wonderful byproduct of the event was the overwhelming support of the Rutherford business community. From bakeries to restaurants to national franchises, many said a community event like this was long overdue and happily contributed raffle prizes and promotional support for the event.
