SURREY, UK October 28, 2010 (Press-News.org) The goal of the organisers is to stage an exciting conference and exhibition, specifically for travel industry stakeholders across the Asia Pacific region, in one of the best reference sites in the world - Kuala Lumpur, so airlines, airports, handlers, hotels, cruise operators, government agencies and industry providers can make the best possible decisions regarding the improvement of the whole passenger experience - http://www.check-in.aero
The theme of the event is "Enhancing the Passenger Experience - from beginning to end" and a line-up of leading industry figures and experts has been announced, for the full list of speakers please visit Check-In Asia official website at http://www.check-in.aero/check-in-asia/
The forum will focus on future check-in practices, while taking a closer look at the end-to-end process from the passenger point of view, from the moment of booking to collection of baggage at their arrival destination. Sessions will focus on:
• Enhancing the passenger experience through every stage of the travel continuum
• Security, Immigration and Facilitation
• Solving baggage challenges
• Advanced Self-Service Strategies and Future Terminals
• Implementing new technology and processes
The complementary IATA StB workshop will take place on November 24th, where IATA's specialists and guest speakers (including representatives from Lufthansa and Air France) will lead in-depth technical sessions in an interactive environment on the Fast Travel programme, which covers check-in, bags ready-to-go (bag registration), document scanning, flight re-booking, self-boarding and bag recovery (lost bag registration). The workshop will highlight the benefits of implementing Fast Travel initiatives as well as provide first-hand advice and lessons learned from organisations that have been through implementations and are now enjoying the benefits. And a new Passenger Facilitation project aiming to bring similar benefits for passengers, airlines and airports to the process areas dealing with Security, Customers and Border Control will also be showcased for the first time.
