HOUSTON, TX, May 03, 2013 (Press-News.org) California-based Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, Calif. will implement the Digisonics Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS) Solution. Temecula Valley Hospital is the third UHS facility to implement the Digisonics system for cardiovascular reporting in the Southern California area.
The Digisonics CVIS will enable clinicians at the facility to quickly create structured reports for their echo (adult and pediatric), cath and nuclear studies. Users will also have fully functional remote reading capabilities through the secure web-based DigiNet Pro application for anywhere, anytime access to the complete CVIS.
Seamless integration of the Digisonics cardiovascular reporting system with Philips QLAB, Medis Q-Angio and INVIA 4DM-SPECT software will provide the facility with advanced image analysis functionality for their echo, cath and nuclear studies, respectively. A single click launches the image analysis software directly from the Digisonics cardiovascular reporting workstation. The post-processed images are then saved back into the Digisonics cardiovascular information system for review. An added interface with the hospital's GE Muse Web system will enable clinicians to launch and review their ECG studies directly from the Digisonics cardiovascular reporting system.
The facility will also implement the Digisonics Search Package, a comprehensive, user-configurable search engine. This powerful tool enables users to quickly set up search criteria to extract clinical information from their cardiovascular information system database for research purposes, compile statistics required for accreditation and generate management reports to target areas for improvement.
HL7 interfaces will create a fully electronic workflow between Digisonics and the hospital's Cerner Millennium system. DataLink modules will automate transfer of patient biometry to and from Temecula Valley Hospital's Philips ultrasound machines with the Digisonics CVIS, significantly reducing manual data entry time. Digisonics DigiServ, a multi-site server, will provide storage and communication management for the enterprise-wide system. The result is a seamless cardiovascular reporting workflow with improved efficiency, accuracy and turnaround times for all facilities within in the Southwest Healthcare System and Temecula Valley Hospital.
Digisonics provides top-rated clinical image management and structured reporting systems for cardiovascular (CVIS), radiology, and obstetrics & gynecology. Digisonics structured reporting solutions combine high performance image review workstations, a powerful PACS image archive, an integrated clinical database, comprehensive analysis capabilities and highly configurable reporting for multiple modalities. Key applications are complemented with interfaces to information systems and 3rd party vendors, providing facilities with a seamless, efficient clinical workflow.
