Hotels-Paris.co.uk - See the Next Generation of Musicians at Avant Scenes in Paris

Travellers could see a music star of tomorrow at the Avant Scenes competition in Paris.

PARIS, FRANCE, October 30, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Avant Scenes contest in Paris offers a generation of young musicians the chance to impress audiences in the French capital.

It sees two days of examinations and two lunchtime concerts take place at the city's Musee d'Orsay, with visitors invited to watch the talented youngsters at work.

Guests at Paris hotels may even catch a glimpse of a future star of classical music during proceedings, as each participant shows the judges - and the audience - what they are capable of.

The first series of performances will be held on Saturday November 20th 2010, with sessions starting at 10:00, 12:00, 14:30 and 17:30 local time.

Visitors from accommodation such as Novotel Paris Est will be able to see musicians showcase concertos, oratorios, masses and concert arias over the course of the day.

The second session takes place on Sunday November 21st and involves youngsters performing a sonate, lieder or song from 11:00 and 14:00.

To attend either of these days in the Auditorium Level -2 is free, but the venue will charge EUR12 (GBP10.50) for people to see the winners of the Avant Scenes competition on December 14th or 17th at 12:30.

Visitors should consider checking out the museum's art collection while they are at the building, with the intriguing Everyone is a Collector! exhibition on display until January 30th 2011.
