Jury At North America's Leading Contract Furniture Fair "Go with the Flo"

Colebrook Bosson Saunders' new monitor arm "Flo" wins Best of NeoCon Award

2010-10-30
LONDON, UK October 30, 2010 (Press-News.org) Even before its full European launch Flo was picking up awards across the Atlantic with a Silver Best of NeoCon Award in the Technology Support category. The award winners are selected from the best products on show at NeoCon in Chicago, where Flo was showcased in the Herman Miller showroom. NeoCon is North America's largest exhibition of contract furnishing for the design and management of the built environment.

Flo is a self-powered dynamic monitor arm that allows a flat screen to be used in either an upright viewing position, at desktop level as a touch screen, or anywhere in between. Flo stands out from its competitors because it addresses three major needs of end-users and specifiers: free flowing action with smooth adjustability; a unique visual indicator weight gauge; the capability to support touch screens and in addition, as one would expect from a Colebrook Bosson Saunders' product, purity of design.

Contract Magazine announced the winners of its 21st annual Best of NeoCon Competition, recognizing innovative new products introduced to the U.S. market during the year. 326 entrants were evaluated in all during the three days preceding NeoCon by a jury of 45 corporate, government and institutional facilities management executives, interior designers, and architects, who are responsible for selecting and buying furniture and furnishings for their specific organisations or clients. Eight jury teams visited Merchandise Mart showrooms and temporary exhibition stands to judge each product in person, based on the following criteria: functionality, flexibility, quality/durability, aesthetics/style, innovation, environmental sustainability, and pricing. Manufacturers or product designers had the opportunity to explain and discuss details of each entered product and to answer the jurors' questions.

Colebrook Bosson Saunders are optimistic that this will be the first of many awards for Flo.

Flo can be trialed along with more innovations from Colebrook Bosson Saunders at ORGATEC in Hall 07.1, Stand C068.
