Fairfield Harbour's Mystre' Van Horn and William Turner Attend Annual Workshop For Community Managers International Association (CMIA)

2013-05-08
NEW BERN, NC, May 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Fairfield Harbour (http://www.fhpoa.com), a residential boating and golf community located 15 minutes from historic New Bern, has announced that Mystre' Van Horn, community manager, and William Turner, facility operations manager, attended the 2013 Community Managers International Association (CMIA) Workshop in Austin, Texas, on April 7-10. The CMIA is open to full-time on-site community association managers, senior managers and a limited number of affiliates as an organization to foster growth and the exchange of ideas to promote and improve the community association management profession. This year's workshop provided a hands-on experience as professionals in the community managers industry came together to share insight and best practices in operating a community interest development. During the event, Van Horn and Turner networked with other community and association managers and operators to learn how to better serve Fairfield Harbour residents and their neighbors.

Van Horn was recently named one of the top 10 on-site community managers in the United States by the Council of Community Association Professionals (CCAP), a premiere award for community managers. She and Turner help lead the operations of Fairfield Harbour, which was recently named "Community of the Year" by the Community Association Institute of North Carolina
