Whole Health Partners Hosts Free Monthly Events Open to All

2013-05-31
DALLAS, TX, May 31, 2013 (Press-News.org) Whole Health Partners, a North Dallas based chiropractic care and wellness clinic, hosted a community education event on Tuesday (May 28th) which focused on Blood Sugar & Adrenal Management. Led by Dr. Matt Rayner, the participants learned that Adrenal glands are a type of endocrine gland that are triangular in shape and located on top of the kidneys. They release cortisol, a hormone responsible for several stress-related changes in the body, and adrenal fatigue can result in high blood pressure, weight gain, low blood sugar, anxiety and allergies among many other things. Attendees also received free smoothie samples, along with some recipes that may optimize their adrenal function.

The Whole Health Partners Team hosts community events every month which are focused on patient education, a matter which is central to the care provided by the clinic. Since 1996 Whole Health Partners has been providing a patient centered, holistic approach to chiropractic wellness and whole health care under the direction of internationally acclaimed chiropractor and chief diagnostician Dr. Francis X. Murphy.

Dr. Matt Rayner has been a member of the Whole Health Partners Team for more than 2 years, starting as an intern with the CBI Program while attending Parker University. Dr. Rayner completed his undergraduate education at the University of Windsor in Canada, and was Salutatorian of the Parker University Class of 2011. Dr. Rayner also received the Class of 2011 Award for Diagnostic Excellence, as well as the Award for Excellence in the Sciences, presented by Parker University. He specializes in rehabilitation therapy and application of specialized exercises and treatment plans to address the individual needs of patients with neurobehavioral and neurodegenerative conditions.

Dr. Rayner says he enjoys educating the patients of Whole Health Partners and surrounding community. His ultimate goal is to make complex material easier to understand so patients can be empowered to make healthier decisions. Dr. Rayner is also available for one-on-one consultations to assess nutritional deficiencies and further educate patients about how to create customized dietary plans to support their unique health needs. He says, "By balancing nutrients in the body, patients will have more energy, improve their health and support long-term well-being."

The next WHP Community Education Event will focus on making fermented appetizers and desserts, and will take place on Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30PM.
