Topper's Pizza To Be Featured on Food Network Canada

Episode of "Giving You The Business" to Air June 24

2013-05-31
BARRIE, ON, CANADA, May 31, 2013 (Press-News.org) On June 24 at 10 p.m. EST, Topper's Pizza will be featured on Food Network Canada's "Giving You The Business," a brand new Canadian original series where an unsuspecting employee is given the chance to become an owner of a Topper's Pizza franchise. The episode will repeat on Tuesday, June 25, at 6 p.m EST.

During this episode four previously selected Topper's Pizza managers who believe they are contributing to a corporate video will participate in a variety of fun but unorthodox customer requests that are ultimately pizza-related challenges. At the show's finale, Keith and Kelly Toppazzini, brothers and owners of the Topper's Franchise Company Inc. and who have been secretly watching the performance of the managers all along, will select one of the four managers to be given a chance to become an owner of a Topper's Pizza franchise.

"This was such a fun experience," says Keith Toppazzini, president of Topper's Franchise Company Inc. "Kelly and I were so impressed by the way the store managers handled the challenges. It was funny to watch at times, but we were even more fascinated by how committed our managers are to the Topper's Pizza brand and to giving their customers the best possible service, no matter how outrageous the demand."

"We're very excited that one of Topper's hardest working managers is given the chance to become an owner of his or her own franchise," continued Kelly Toppazzini, chairman and CEO. "This person truly deserves this opportunity and as a company we are extremely optimistic that we chose the most qualified person to represent Topper's Pizza and our brand."

To celebrate its network debut, Topper's Pizza is offering a viewing party special 'Giving You the Deal' offer while the premiere of "Giving You the Business" is airing on Food Network Canada. During both airings of the show on Monday, June 24, and Tuesday, June 25, from 5 p.m. to midnight, customers can order a large speciality pizza for $10, a savings of $9.40 (pick-up only). No code needed. An additional promotion for existing and new Topper's Rewards members will run all of June offering prizes from free pizza for a year to Topper's Pizza gift cards.

"Family friendly business and values are at the core of Topper's Pizza, so it is especially gratifying for us to reward a current manager, someone already a member of our business family, with the chance to become an owner of his or her own franchise," says Keith Toppazzini.

About Topper's Pizza

In 1904, the Toppazzini bakery was a successful local business in Sudbury. Today, the Toppazzinis have earned their place as 'the first family of pizza' with a growing pizza franchise and a province-wide chain of stores that is aiming to reach 250 in the next seven years. "Our brand is all about returning to our roots," said Toppazzini. "My great grandfather started the tradition of serving 'amazingly delicious' baked goods more than 100 years ago and we're proud to continue his legacy."
