Coldwell Banker Premier Realty Announces Home of Late and Popular Las Vegas Entertainer, Danny Gans Sells Quietly Off Stage.

The estate of long-remembered singer-actor-impressionist Danny Gans, who spent more than a decade as one of the most popular entertainers in Las Vegas, was sold in a bittersweet transaction.

2010-11-03
LAS VEGAS, NV, November 03, 2010 (Press-News.org) Las Vegas -The lavish estate of the late legendary Las Vegas entertainer Danny Gans and his wife Julie, was sold quietly this week for an undisclosed amount to a couple from California.

The over 9,400-square-foot French-chateau styled main residence, located on 2.57 acres in Roma Hills in Henderson, NV was one of the city's largest sales this year, according to agent Carolyn Mullany of Coldwell Banker Premier Realty, who brokered the deal in cooperation with Zar Zanganeh. Mullany and Zanganeh also cooperated together in the January 2009 sale of the mansion once rented by singer Michael Jackson. Mullany says high-profile listings such as the Gans estate are not handled as typical transactions. These sales require a more strategic partnership method that customizes the search; matching the perfect buyer with the home. "We never listed the Gans property on the market or held a broker open," states Mullany. "We relied on our relationships and solution-based experience to bring the right buyer to the table. This couple fell in love with everything during the first showing - virtually unheard of in a tough market like this." Selling the home that Julie and Danny Gans designed and decorated was very difficult for the Gans family. Mullany collaborated closely with the referring agent, Deanne Anderson of Coldwell Banker in Southern California, who played a pivotal role in the communications with Mrs. Gans.

In keeping with CBPR's lifestyle pairing approach, the company coordinated the estate sale in conjunction with the auction of Gans' car collection. The bittersweet and emotional sale was conducted by renowned auctioneer Barrett-Jackson (http://lasvegasweekly.com/blogs/lux-life). Eight vehicles from Gans' collection included Hot Rod Fords, 1950s era Chevrolets, muscle cars and modern performance vehicles. Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson told reporters, "We are honored that his family would ask Barrett-Jackson to share his love of car collecting with the world. His amazing collection was the cornerstone of our event."

Mullany believes luxury buyers are recognizing the value in buying Las Vegas real estate not only because of the current prices, but also because Las Vegas offers an unrivaled luxury lifestyle. This is supported by the recent S&P Case-Shiller index, which names Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco as the three top cities showing an upward trend - a possible signal for signs of stability for the Las Vegas market. "We anticipate seeing more of these type of sales; it really is a great time to buy," states Mullany.

Long-remembered singer-actor-impressionist Danny Gans, who spent more than a decade as one of the most popular entertainers in Las Vegas, was much loved by fans and the Las Vegas community. A member of The Church of South Las Vegas, Gans' pastor, Benny Perez said, "Danny Gans proved something, that you can be a world class entertainer in sin city and yet still shine with all the goodness and grace and generosity of God." And AP Drama Critic Michael Kuchwara said of Gans in a review, "A hardworking, eager-to-please entertainer who does rapid-fire imitations of show-biz personalities ranging from Tony Bennett to Al Pacino to Sarah Vaughan."

According to reports, Gans, an eleven time Entertainer of the Year winner, had performed four nights a week at the Wynn's 1,500-seat Encore Theater since Feb. 10, 2010 and at The Mirage, where he performed from April 2000 to November 2008. Gans worked tireless with his pro-am golf tournament to raise money for the Danny Gans Junior Golf Academy, which finances golf programs for children. The News Observer reported that Gans helped raise some $250,000 to build the Lili Claire Family Resource Center to promote awareness of Williams Syndrome and other neurogenetic disorders and birth defects. Gans also hosted an annual 5K run and children's walk in Henderson to benefit the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Daniel Davies Gans grew up in Torrance, Calif., met his wife at Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo California and parlayed a comedy and impression routine he developed on bus rides as a minor league baseball player into a brilliant entertainment career. Gans died May 1, 2009 and is survived by his wife Julie and their three children, Amy, Andrew and Emily; he was 52.
