NEWPORT BEACH, CA, November 11, 2010 (Press-News.org) While most people learn about art exhibitions whenever schedules are announced by museums weeks ahead of viewing artist Keariene Muizz had something else in mind for the public, a radio program which allows art enthusiasts to follow her entire artistic process from the early stages on to the last museum exhibit.
"This collection is special," Ms. Muizz asserts, "I'm going across the country to sketch the hands of soldiers for The Soldier Series: A Salute to the Soul. People are always curious about the life of artists, we're magical, we make things happen and see the world in alternate ways. I think people want to know the stories behind each and every one of my military models too, not to mention the way a art exhibit is deconstructed in a museum. It's all so fascinating."
Keariene Muizz isn't just an artist she is the owner of the Muizz Gallery in Newport Beach, the location where all live broadcasts take place. The gallery is by appointment only, but each Sunday the doors are open to the curious eyes of the public where listeners are greeted by wine, music and, of course, art.
With only seven weeks in the making Art Speaks is already becoming a leader in the sphere of online radio as thousands flock to download art related episodes like "More Than a Yellow Ribbon" where Keariene discusses going beyond the bow and "Music to Paint By" the soundtracks behind the paintings.
Each show broadcast by Art Speaks is portable, available in podcast form which can be downloaded and listened to anywhere.
"As far as I'm concerned all eyes should be on our nation's soldiers. As more of us are feeling the pinch of the economy and are weary of where our next battle is coming from, layoff or foreclosure, I know there are none better qualified to teach us how to keep marching forward through this uncertainty than the men and women of the United States Military."
Art Speaks radio program is hosted by Keariene Muizz at the Muizz Gallery, designed to follow each step of The Soldier Series: A Salute to the Soul. For further information, please contact (949) 243-0591
