BATHURST, AUSTRALIA, March 11, 2014 (Press-News.org) Charles Sturt University Emergency Management Courses Coordinator Ian Manock has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in Tertiary level emergency management education, including the key areas of emergency management planning, operations and recovery.
With an impressive four decades of practiced experience in his field, Mr. Manock is uniquely qualified to oversee a wide range of tasks on behalf of Charles Sturt University. Over the course of the last 14 years, in his role as an emergency management lecturer and course coordinator at Charles Sturt University, he has been responsible for managing the master's and bachelor's degree emergency management programs. Additionally, he manages 12 subjects within the two programs, as well as the contract staff that participates in the coordination and marking within the programs.
Prior to joining Charles Sturt University, Mr. Manock joined the military and progressed into police work. A natural progression of opportunities led him into emergency services in terms of disaster/ emergency management. A shining example of excellence in his field, Mr. Manock holds a master's degree and bachelor's degree in emergency management from Charles Sturt University. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliation with the International Association of Emergency Managers and the Australia Institute of Emergency Services. Looking ahead, Mr. Manock is eagerly anticipating the expansion of emergency management programs at Charles Sturt University into the doctoral level.
