Center for Autism and Related Disorders and the U.S. Marines Join Forces to Help Local Children this Holiday Season

CARD Inc., considered the world's largest organization effectively treating children with autism, has announced it has officially kicked off the Marines Toys for Tots toy drive, benefiting less fortunate youngsters in the community.

TARZANA, CA, November 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc. (CARD), considered the world's largest organization effectively treating children with autism, has announced it has officially kicked off the Marines Toys for Tots toy drive, benefiting less fortunate youngsters in the community. The toy drive will take place at CARD's 20 stateside offices from November 10 to December 17, 2010.

"The Center for Autism and Related Disorders has been an integral part of the community for 20 years," says CARD Founder and Executive Director Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh. "Participating in the toy drive gives CARD the opportunity to make a difference and bring some happiness to many children this holiday season."

CARD's goal is to collect a combined total of $100,000 worth of toys.

CARD is asking the public to donate new and unwrapped toys that will be distributed by the Marines to shelters throughout the city. CARD has designated two Drop-Off days on December 2nd and December 10th, from 9am to 5pm at Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc. - 19019 Ventura Blvd., Suite 200, Tarzana, CA 91356.
