Plastic Surgery Specialist Serving Fort Myers Adds CoolSculpting
2011-01-21
NAPLES, FL, January 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) Dr. Kent V. Hasen (www.drhasen.com) recently added CoolSculpting by ZELTIQ to the procedure menu at his plastic surgery practice near Fort Myers. An increasingly popular body contouring treatment, CoolSculpting is making news across the country because it offers completely non-surgical fat reduction. To explain the ease and convenience of the procedure, Dr. Hasen recently appeared on FOX 4's Morning Blend.

"CoolSculpting is a fantastic procedure for people who are close to their ideal body weight, yet have stubborn pockets of fat that don't respond to diet and exercise," explains Dr. Hasen. "It works by selectively cooling the fat cells, causing them to be broken down and removed by the body's natural cleansing process. Because the fat isn't being removed all at once, initial results take few weeks to show, but the big advantages here are the non-surgical nature and practically nonexistent downtime."

Dr. Hasen and one of his patients were interviewed on FOX 4's Morning Blend, and discussed CoolSculpting results. On air they showed a video animation that demonstrates how CoolSculpting works, making it understandable to the viewing audience. During the segment, Dr. Hasen and his patient described their personal experiences with the treatment and also displayed their results.

"I used CoolSculpting on myself when it was first introduced, and saw great results," explains Dr. Hasen, one of the first plastic surgeons in the Fort Myers area to offer the treatment. "It was quick, easy and effective, and also fairly comfortable. I was able to reduce the layer of fat in the area by about 20 to 25 percent, which convinced me that I needed to offer this treatment to my patients as well."

A 20 to 25 percent fat reduction from a CoolSculpting treatment is typical for most patients. Improvements appear over time, sometimes in as little as 4 weeks. In general, full results can be seen in 2 to 4 months. Because there is no recovery time after treatment, many patients are able to return to their normal, everyday activities immediately following their CoolSculpting procedure, making it an easy, quick and comfortable fat reduction method.

Dr. Hasen states, "CoolSculpting is a great body contouring method, particularly when a person wants to achieve subtle improvements in specific areas of the body. For those looking for more dramatic slimming and contouring, CoolSculpting can be combined with liposuction or a tummy tuck. I've also had patients considering breast augmentation in Naples and have used CoolSculpting to accent their results by slimming love handles or unwanted fat on the lower back, for instance."

Kent V. Hasen, MD (www.drhasen.com) is a Naples, Florida plastic surgeon and medical director of Kent V. Hasen, M.D., P.A. - Aesthetic Plastic Surgery of Naples, a full-service cosmetic practice that has developed a strong reputation in South Florida since opening its doors in 2002. Dr. Hasen is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and was named to the Top 40 Under 40 as one of Southwest Florida's rising stars in 2006 by Gulfshore Business Magazine.
