Set to take place on February 20th 2011, the occasion features all the events that are traditionally associated with a Highland show, including caber tossing and a strongman competition.

Visitors to the Mount Barker oval will have the opportunity to watch and participate in some traditional Scottish dancing, while haggis hurling and tug-o-war contests should ensure there is plenty to keep cheap accommodation Adelaide guests and other attendees entertained all day.

Musical accompaniment to the proceedings will be provided by a massed pipe band, while an array of displays and stalls will be present for tourists keen to pick up a memento from the show.

Despite the array of activities on offer, entry will only be charged at AU$8 for adults and AU$6 for concessions, while families can get in for the discounted rate of AU$16. These rates are sure to make the event popular with people who have taken advantage of last minute hotel deals in the area.
