NAPLES, ITALY, January 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) Naples is set to welcome the talented and often controversial pianist and composer Giovanni Allevi.
The musician is set to take the stage at the Teatro di San Carlo on February 28th, with fans of classical music likely to be intrigued by the prospect of seeing Allevi live in concert.
He is well known in Italy for having grand ambitions for his work, aiming to produce a more cultured form of contemporary music than what he feels is currently available to the public.
Allevi's talent was first noted while he was doing national service in the 1990s and he went on to write music and perform in many of Italy's major music venues, some of which he travelled to as support for the rock act Jovanotti.
Despite courting criticism for his flamboyant personality, the 41-year-old is seen by many as a great musician and his live show is likely to be entertaining.
