TACOMA, WA, March 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) Sound Physicians, a leading hospitalist organization focused on driving improvements in quality, satisfaction and efficiency of inpatient healthcare delivery, today announced Joe Hymes has been promoted to Senior Regional Vice President of Operations and Sarah Pfeil has been added as Regional Vice President of Operations. The executives will work together to advance Sound Physicians' hospital partner expansion initiatives in the Midwest region.
"Our enhanced regional management team will help us expand delivery with partner hospitals and enhance the services our partners have come to expect," said Robert Bessler, CEO of Sound Physicians. "Joe's proven leadership skills and track record making partner-minded decisions will be key to the continued delivery on our promise in the region of a gold-standard level of service and support."
Previously Regional Vice President of Operations, Hymes will continue working with Sound Physicians' hospitalist teams, Chief Medical Officer Mohammad Salameh, MD and administrators at partner hospitals to ensure program excellence. He will oversee new and existing implementations and identify new ways to add more value to hospitals through increased team performance. Hymes holds a Masters of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Neurosciences from the University of Rochester, New York. He has more than 25 years of healthcare operations experience. Prior to joining Sound Physicians in 2009, he served as Director of Operations at Concentra Medical Centers and Executive Director of Emergency Physicians Medical Group.
Previously with Hospitalist Consultants, Inc, Pfeil will work closely with Sound Physicians' hospitalist teams and partner hospital administrators to ensure consistent, high-quality communication and successful program implementation. She has more than 25 years of extensive and diverse health care management experience in medical group financial management, integrated delivery system development and hospitalist services. Pfeil also previously worked as Executive Director for five separate physician-hospital joint ventures and developed community health plans.
