LateRooms.com - See France Clash with Canada on Paris Ice Hockey Rink

Winter Olympics champions Canada face France in Paris in April.

2011-03-19
PARIS, FRANCE, March 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) Some of the finest ice hockey players in the world will be on the team sheets in Paris next month for the France v Canada match.

It looks set to be a tough game for the French side as they try to contain the brutal strength and technical skill of the North Americans.

Ice hockey is one of the national sports in Canada and the country has walked away with the gold medals at two of the past three Winter Olympic events.

They were victorious at Salt Lake City in 2002 and Vancouver in 2010.

The two sides will take the ice on April 24th at the Palais Omnisports Paris Bercy for what is sure to be an entertaining match, even if Canada look like clear favourites to win.

Current IIHF rankings place the North American nation in second behind Russia, while France occupy 15th position.

Tickets start at EUR13 (GBP11.30) and rise to EUR60 depending on where people want to sit in the stadium.

The match is scheduled to start at 15:00 local time.

Ice hockey fans can find a range of Paris hotels on LateRooms.com, with the website recommending options such as the Hotel Bastille Paris.

Find out more about the game at http://www.bercy.fr/.
