BROOKLYN, NY, March 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Chef Adam Kutner of beloved Park Slope restaurant Bella Italia has pledged to donate 25% of all profits on March 18- 20 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Brooklyn. Bella Italia has been a Park Slope fixture for three decades. Dedicated to good old fashioned home style Italian cooking, Kutner runs the restaurant with his parents Vincent and Mary. The family has been serving up good Italian cooking Tuesdays through Sundays since the 1970s. The Kutner family loves Brooklyn and looks forward to being able to contribute to a very worthy cause in their own neighborhood.
"I've been a Big Brother for a few years now, and the program run by the Boys and Girls Club of Brooklyn is innovative, engaging and a truly wonderful resource for kids in this neighborhood. Bella Italia is all about family and considers the whole of Brooklyn to be our family. We are honored to be able to donate 25% of the profits for an entire weekend to the Boys and Girls Club of Brooklyn."
Adam Kutner is the second generation of Kutners to run Bella Italia. When he took over the restaurant a decade ago he successfully marketed the homey nature of Bella Italia to a younger generation and increased revenue and capacity by over 80%. Bella Italia serves traditional Italian favorites as well as a lighter menu and gluten free options. The restaurant also has a happy hour menu that is 50% off for small plates of Bella Italia best selling dishes.
Bella Italia is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4pm to Midnight and on Friday from 4pm to 1am. Saturday the restaurant opens at noon and closes at 2am. On Sunday the hours are 11am to 10 pm.
