OGDEN, UT, March 26, 2011 (Press-News.org) eSilverBullet, Inc., a Utah-based technology company that helps companies succeed in eCommerce, announced today it had acquired HammerTap, a research tool used by thousands of eBay sellers.
With this acquisition, eSilverBullet becomes one of just three companies worldwide that is licensed to pull raw data from eBay. The HammerTap application makes sense of that data and presents it to sellers in a simple interface so they can easily see what products will sell, how much profit they can expect, and what factors will increase their chances of selling on eBay. By providing powerful insights to sellers based on actual eBay information, such as what prices, keywords and listing features lead to increased sales, HammerTap takes the guesswork out of selling on eBay.
HammerTap is a great addition to our suite of tools, said Adam Ward, eSilverBullets chief executive officer. Our customers are individuals, entrepreneurs and companies that are trying to build and grow their businesses online. Before building their own websites, many of them find eBay is a great starting point for learning the ropes of selling online. Our business is all about taking the complexity out of e-commerce, so providing that same service to eBay sellers makes perfect sense.
Although the HammerTap name is widely recognized and respected among eBay sellers, the company anticipates changing the name of the software to be consistent with other eSilverBullet products. The suite of tools and services provides a broad, single source for helping companies build Web sites, listing products on eBay, creating and managing email marketing efforts, producing rich media content, and learning affiliate marketing and e Commerce techniques through courses on line.
Island Park Investments, an investor in the privately-held company, supported the acquisition.
We have a lot of confidence in the innovative leadership eSilverBullet is taking in the e-commerce space, here in Utah and around the country, said Alan Hall, principal at Island Park Investments and founder and chairman of MarketStar Corporation. Online marketing is fragmented and difficult, so we applaud their efforts to build and acquire technology that will streamline business needs on the Internet.
The HammerTap software application costs $19.95 a month and can be downloaded at hammertap.com.
About the company: eSilverBullet is a technology company that provides tools and training to help online entrepreneurs conceive an idea, construct the business and complete the pathway to profitability. They are based in Ogden, Utah.
