Glenn E. Davis Named Chair of Litigation Department at Gallop, Johnson & Neuman, L.C.

ST. LOUIS, MO, September 11, 2010 (Press-News.org) Glenn E. Davis, a highly experienced attorney whose practice focuses on antitrust issues, securities and corporate litigation, corporate compliance and white-collar criminal defense, has been selected Chair of the Litigation Department at the law firm Gallop, Johnson & Neuman, L.C.

In announcing the move, Thomas J. Campbell, Managing Partner at Gallop, Johnson & Neuman, said, "Glenn Davis is highly respected in the legal profession in St. Louis and nationally for his expertise as a litigator and knowledge of antitrust, securities and business litigation issues. The Litigation Department at Gallop, Johnson & Neuman is a national practice that also handles international matters for business clients of the firm. Gallop trial attorneys represent businesses and individuals in federal and state courts at trial and appellate levels across the U.S. The practice has extensive experience with alternative dispute resolution, such as arbitration or mediation, and helps clients obtain sensible, cost-effective solutions to business, financial, commercial and governmental disputes.

Mr. Davis has successfully handled sophisticated antitrust litigation, class action and corporate business matters for clients in agribusiness, construction equipment, franchising, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, product distribution, securities, financial services and other industries. Since 2003, Mr. Davis has been listed among "The Best Lawyers in America" for Antitrust Law, Commercial Litigation and Franchise Law. He has been recognized as a Missouri "SuperLawyer" annually since 2005.

Mr. Davis is admitted to practice before Missouri and Illinois state courts; the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri; the Southern and Central Districts of Illinois; the District of Columbia; and the U.S. District Courts of Appeal for the Seventh, Eighth and D.C. Circuits; and the Supreme Court of the United States.

In addition to numerous jury and bench trials in federal and state courts, he has litigated in hearings, tribunals and investigative proceedings before the Federal Trade Commission, the Securities Exchange Commission and other industry arbitration forums. He is a Charter Fellow of the Trial Attorney Honorary Society - Litigation Counsel of America, and a member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the Missouri Bar and Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, among other organizations. Mr. Davis earned a J.D. degree from Washington University School of Law and B.A. from DePauw University.

Mr. Davis' civic and charitable activities include serving on the Board of Directors of The American Youth Foundation and The Judicial Learning Center, and as a member of the DePauw University Board of Visitors. His volunteer commitments include serving the Washington University Eliot Society and as a member of the Tyrrell Williams Lecture Committee for the Washington University School of Law. He served on the Webster Groves School District Board of Education for nine years and as its President for 2004-2006 and, previously, as President of the Webster Groves School District Foundation.
