New Neon Sign for Ledo Restaurant in College Park, MD

Kerley Signs is pleased to contribute to a famous Maryland landmark, the Ledo Restaurant.

2010-09-11
LANDOVER, MD, September 11, 2010 (Press-News.org) Kerley Signs is pleased to contribute to a famous Maryland landmark, the Ledo Restaurant. Tommy Marcos Sr. opened the restaurant on University Boulevard in Adelphi, MD back in 1955, and in the more than half-century since, the restaurant has continued to be a Marcos family business, first under Tommy Sr., then under his son Tommy Jr. and grandson Jimmy. The Ledo has become a favorite dining spot for Marylanders and many out-of state customers, thanks to its long history and distinctive square pizzas and other specialties. Kerley Signs, located in Landover, has been providing electric signs in Maryland ( http://www.kerleysigns.com ) since 1985.

From humble beginnings, Ledo Pizza has grown into a franchise with over 80 restaurants in seven states. In July 2010, the original University Boulevard location closed its doors for the last time, to reopen several miles away in downtown College Park on August 27th. It was greeted by happy crowds of customers, many of whom had grown up on Ledo pizzas.

Kerley Signs contributed to this happy occasion by making and installing a new neon sign ( http://www.kerleysigns.com/construction_style4.asp ) for the restaurant. A restaurant that was named by Oprah as one of America's favorite pizzerias deserves special treatment, and Kerley Signs ensured that the new Ledo sign was made to the most exacting quality standards. If the Ledo Restaurant prospers for another fifty years in its new location, Kerley would like to believe that the neon sign ( http://www.kerleysigns.com/construction_style4.asp ) will hold up for just as long.
