PARIS, FRANCE, April 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Visitors to the French capital will have a chance to see one of rap music's biggest new stars next month.
Wiz Khalifa, who recently conquered the charts on both sides of the Atlantic with his hit single Black and Yellow, is set to perform at La Maroquinerie in Paris on Friday May 20th.
The Pittsburgh-based rapper released his debut album Rolling Papers last week and saw it debut at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart.
With a growing international fan base and further single releases to come, the 23-year-old looks set for a long and successful career in hip-hop.
Black and Yellow, which was produced by Norwegian pop duo Stargate, catapulted Khalifa to global fame following several years of low-key mixtape releases and collaborations with other artists.
The song's title and catchy hook pays tribute to his hometown American football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tickets to see Khalifa perform in Paris are priced at EUR15 (GBP13.20) and can be bought online. Doors at La Maroquinerie are due to open at 19:30 local time.
Fans planning to attend the show will find a selection of recommended Paris hotels at LateRooms.com, which features the Hotel Bastille Paris.
