VALLEY VILLAGE, CA, April 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Protecting the planet has never been this easy or fun. Sponsored by Marley Coffee and Planet Home Remodeling, the free-to-play game is designed to spread sustainable living and social responsibility practices in a fun, easy and sharable fashion, while also awarding its top players and pro-social advocates.

"The Seed Effect" allows users to plant a virtual seed of sustainable knowledge and then witness their idea grow by fellow Facebook users supporting (or "liking") their initiatives. Points are earned for the planting of seeds and for how many supporters they receive for each idea.

The game will be played in different rounds, with winners receiving a variety of cash and prizes for each installment. Round one of "The Seed Effect" kicks off today and will award the first person to earn 5,000 points with $5,000 USD. The winner will get to keep half ($2500) and will then get to make a donation for the other $2500 to an environmental conscious charity of their choice.
