LateRooms.com - Enjoy an Otter Odyssey in Pembrokeshire

A chance to get close to otters and other wildlife awaits people heading to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in May.

2011-04-21
PEMBROKESHIRE, WALES, April 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) Animal lovers will have an opportunity to seek out one of Pembrokeshire's more elusive species at a special event next month.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is set to host an Otter Odyssey at the Stackpole Estate near Tenby on Sunday May 8th.

Designed for family visitors with an interest in the semi-aquatic mammal, this nature walk will begin at 07:00 BST and last for about two hours.

Those who rise early enough to take part will take a two-mile stroll along the upper reaches of Bosherston Lily Pools in search of otters and other wildlife.

Anyone is welcome to attend but numbers on the walk are limited, so booking in advance is required. Adult tickets are priced at GBP3.50 and concessions will be available for GBP2.50.

Visitors are advised to wear warm clothing and binoculars are recommended for those looking to make the most of the event.

The Stackpole Estate is located between the villages of Stackpole and Bosherston in the south of the national park.

It is owned by the National Trust and accessible to visitors all year round, with the estate's mixture of beautiful lakes, quiet woodland and unspoilt beaches making it a popular spot among walkers and nature lovers.

Pembrokeshire holidaymakers will find a wide range of hotels in Tenby at LateRooms.com, which features the Fourcroft Hotel Tenby.

Visit http://www.pembrokeshirecoast.org.uk/default.asp?PID=4 to find more information on this event.
