The Australian band will take the stage at the Aliw Theater on May 12th.

2011-04-28
MAKATI, PHILIPPINES, April 28, 2011 (Press-News.org) Soft rock legends Air Supply are heading to the Philippines midway through next month for a gig in Manila.

The All Out Of Love singers have sold more than 20 million albums worldwide since being signed by Arista Records back in 1980.

Members Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock met in 1975 at the rehearsals for Jesus Christ Superstar in Sydney, where they bonded over their love for The Beatles and performing.

They started out by playing small venues across the Australian city, taking the stage at a host of pizza restaurants, coffee bars and nightclubs.

In the year they were picked up by Arista, Russell and Hitchcock became household names thanks to the success of Lost in Love, which became the fastest-selling single in the world.

Air Supply released their latest album - Mumbo Jumbo - in April 2010. It includes tracks such as I Won't Let it Get in the Way, Can I Be Your Lover and Me Like You.

They are set to play at Manila's Aliw Theater on May 12th 2011, with the show kicking off at 20:00 local time.

Ticket prices range from 844.80 to 4,224 Philippine pesos (GBP11.80 to GBP59).
