PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC, May 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) Prague's Lucerna Music Bar is set to welcome US rap group Arrested Development for a live show this summer.

The two-time Grammy Award-winners will perform in the Czech capital on Monday June 6th, giving fans a chance to hear classic hits such as People Everyday, Tennessee and Mr Wendal.

Formed in Atlanta, the group released their debut album in 1992 and blazed a trail for positive, spiritual hip-hop at a time when the genre faced a backlash of media criticism for seemingly promoting crime, misogyny and violence.

Following an absence of several years, Arrested Development and their charismatic frontman Speech returned to the spotlight in 2010 with Strong, their sixth studio LP.

Speech has also released a number of critically acclaimed solo albums since his rise to prominence, including 2000's Spiritual People.

Advance tickets to see the band perform in Prague are available to buy online, priced at 500 Czech koruna (GBP18.30). The show is due to being at 20:00 local time.
