LOS ANGELES, CA, September 15, 2010

Carl Terzian, chairman of Carl Terzian Associates (CTA), a boutique public relations firm located in West Los Angeles, was recently named honorary co-chair by the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) of its 25th Annual National Philanthropy Day to be held on November 9, 2010. Mr. Terzian's fellow co-chairs are philanthropist Wallis Annenberg, president and CEO of The Annenberg Foundation, and Matt Toledo, publisher of the Los Angeles Business Journal.

"I want to thank the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Greater Los Angeles for naming me co-chair of this year's Philanthropy Day, along with such distinguished supporters of non-profits as Wallis Annenberg and Matt Toledo," said Mr. Terzian. "California has approximately 180,000 non-profits, and we have about 50,000 of them in the greater Los Angeles area, of which nearly 70% are public charities. Without the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Los Angeles area non-profits would be much more underfunded and struggling for money today, in these tough economic times."

Mr. Terzian is well-known throughout the Los Angeles community for his dedication to philanthropy, committing much of his time and energy to the development of numerous non-profits. He is co-founder of California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California and of Woodbury University in Los Angeles.

Over the last 41 years in business, Mr. Terzian has mentored and placed thousands of executives and professionals on non-profit boards in Los Angeles and throughout the country. His full-service public relations firm has represented more non-profits than any other independent PR agency in the U.S. Due to his business to business public relations services and his dedication to non-profits, Mr. Terzian has received numerous local, national and international awards and honors, which includes the City and County of Los Angeles, the California Assembly and Senate, the United States Congress and Her Majesty the Queen of England.

Mr. Terzian's contribution to non-profits is coupled with his unique and successful business model. CTA derives virtually all of its clients by referral. Mr. Terzian coordinates more than 800 networking events yearly on behalf of his clients who hire his agency to help them network successfully. At each event he invites several non-profits. Not only has Mr. Terzian's unique style of networking generated significant business for his clients, the events have also lead to increased donations to non-profits and to memberships on non-profit boards.

The 25th Annual National Philanthropy Day in Los Angeles luncheon will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
