ST. PAUL, MN, May 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Horizon Interactive Awards, a leading international interactive media awards competition, announced the 2010 award winners to highlight this year's most outstanding work in interactive media production. LandOf.org was recognized for their excellence with a bronze award in the activism/non-profit category.
"LandOf.org has always asked the question, 'What's next? What's best?' in regards to our land resources—we know there are smarter answers out there," said Jim Erkel, program director. "Recognition for asking those questions and for serving as a resource for making Minnesota's future the best possible is very rewarding."
The ninth annual, international competition saw more than 1,000 entries from 22 countries around world. An international panel of judges, consisting of industry professionals with diverse backgrounds, as well as an end-user panel, evaluated 37 different categories ranging from online advertising to mobile applications. The 2010 winning entries showcase the industry's best interactive media solutions including websites, CDs and DVDs, online ads, video, mobile applications and more.
"The 2010 competition was an outstanding entry field," said Mike Sauce, founder of the Horizon Interactive Awards. "The overall diversity and quality of entries we received was fantastic and judging was very competitive. We're starting to see a convergence of all types of media, from web to mobile, into more integrated solutions for clients around the world. That's exciting to see!"
