LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND, June 12, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Tiger Who Came To Tea will be performed at Liverpool's Playhouse theatre later this month.
Adapted from the classic children's book of the same name by Judith Kerr, the production is to be staged several times between Monday June 27th and Wednesday June 29th.
The play will be directed by David Wood, who has plenty of experience translating such tales for the theatre, having worked on conversions of Spot, Meg and Mog, The Witches and Fantastic Mr Fox among others.
In a statement, the organisers remarked: "Following on from the highly successful 2009 tour, the tea-guzzling tiger is back on the road in this delightful family show; packed with oodles of magic, singalong songs and clumsy chaos."
First published in 1968, The Tiger Who Came For Tea is one of the best-selling children's books of all time.
The show will be staged every day at 13:30 local time and at 10:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday. It lasts for just under one hour.
Admission costs between GBP8 and GBP12.
