PRESCOT, ENGLAND, September 17, 2010 (Press-News.org) In order to qualify for the VisitEngland Quality Assured Visitor Attraction badge, attractions are assessed on a number of criteria relating to customer care, including hospitality, customer service, presentation, and the standard of the attraction's facilities; toilets, shops, food outlets, etc.
To gain the accreditation, each attraction is visited by a "mystery shopper" who then tests out all of the attraction's facilities, to make sure it lives up to the expectations of their visitors, as well as the strict guidelines laid out by VisitEngland.
The mystery shopper who visited Knowsley Safari Park stated that he had a great day inspecting all of the park's facilities, trying out the new spicy wraps on offer in the restaurant, and even having a go on the Aerial Extreme, which has also gained their accreditation for 2011.
Matthew Dodd, visitor services manager at Knowsley Safari Park, said: "This is great news for the park as the Quality Assured badge lets visitors know that they really are visiting a great attraction."
