JEFFERSONVILLE, IN, July 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) Fuel prices make it difficult to take a trip to Italy or visit "Little Italy" in New York or Boston? Not to worry. The Jeffersonville Italian Festival 2011 will give you the feeling of being at an authentic Italian neighborhood street festival in "Little Italy" without leaving southern Indiana. Featuring authentic Italian food, music, and activities in a family-friendly atmosphere, the Jeffersonville Italian Festival 2011 will allow everyone to be "Italian for a day."
This year, Adrienne and Co. Bakery Cafe is teaming up with the Shamrock Foundation of Louisville, KY to assist in raising money to end pet overpopulation, reduce the number of companion animals destroyed in local shelters, and to save or enhance the lives of animals in need in our community.

Supporting Information: The Italians have a long tradition in the area, dating back to the late 1800s when they settled downtown near the old Haymarket location to create Louisville's version of "Little Italy." While the "Little Italy" of Louisville is long gone, the Jeffersonville Italian Festival 2011 is designed to recreate the feel of a traditional Italian Street festival common to Italian neighborhoods by featuring authentic Italian food and pastries prepared by local Italian restaurants and a focus on the family, just like it used to be in the old days back in Little Italy.
• Project Audience: In 2010, our First Annual Italian Festival drew over 1,800 guests from 6 counties in southern Indiana, 34 counties in Kentucky, and six states. We are expecting over 4,000 attendees during the two-day event in 2011.
