PHUKET, THAILAND, July 08, 2011 (Press-News.org) The new highway which is to be named after Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed has cost in the region of $436 million and as it nears completion will consist of three lanes on each side with a speed limit of 120 km/h. The road starts at Al Nujiamat by the entrance to Fujairah city and then runs for 45km to Sharjah-Kalba in the Maleha area.
Originally the road was planned to be finished by the end of 2010 but the construction has been delayed due to the difficulty of having to pass through the mountainous regions which have caused a number of technical problems.
Anyone staying at a Fujairah hotel and travelling to Dubai can use the highway from July and the project is just one of several planned to improve transport networks between emirates in the UAE.
As well as the road, Fujairah is also hoping to achieve investments of up to $100 million in its petrochemical sector by December 2011 and a $3 billion oil refinery is to be finished in 2016.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com, commented: "Along with the road Fujairah is witnessing many major development projects with more overseas companies investing in the area. Hotels will therefore be in much higher demand as engineers and executives come to oversee the work."

2011-07-08
Periodontal disease is an infection of the tissues that support your teeth. Periodontal diseases attack just below the gum; this causes the supporting tissues to break down. As the tissues are damaged it creates a deeper pocket around the tooth. Once someone has periodontal disease it's not reversible, but can be controlled with proper maintenance. This is why it's so important to focus on healthy dental habits; it's much easier to prevent gum disease than to live with it. Dr. Sherzoy strongly believes that being treated at once for bleeding gum disease is a smart way to ...
