AsiaRooms.com - Pattaya Bartender Contest to Showcase Cocktail Skills

The annual Pattaya Bartender Contest sees entrants battle for supremacy by preparing their signature cocktails.

2011-07-29
PATTAYA, THAILAND, July 29, 2011 (Press-News.org) Some of the finest bartenders in eastern Thailand will show off their skills in Pattaya later this year.

The annual Pattaya Bartender Contest, usually held in September, sees cocktail specialists and drinks experts from many of the region's top hotels and nightclubs go head to head in a series of challenges.

Bartenders are judged on their dexterity, creativity and presentation skills, with the winner receiving a cash prize, a trophy and the right to progress into the national championship.

Entrants are also required to demonstrate their signature cocktail creations to the judges.

People who have spent time in Pattaya and the surrounding area will know how skilful many of the local bartenders are, so the competition is sure to be a dramatic spectacle.

Other highlights of past editions of the contest have included live music performances, a cake-decorating competition, fruit carving, table dressing challenges and the highly popular Miss Bartender pageant.

Although the date of this year's event has not yet been confirmed, the contest traditionally takes place on one evening in the first or second week of September.
