Class C UST Operators are individuals assigned or designated to respond and handle emergency situations involving underground storage systems. Class A/B UST Operators are individuals who are required to be on-site during operating hours at their respective UST facilities, and making sure Class C Operators are trained, registered and certified. By August 8, 2012, individuals designated as Class UST Operators should be trained either by their Class A/B UST Operators or by an approved third-party vendor.
