GO! Mobility Solutions President and CEO, Rick Goldstein, Receives Patent for New Portable Commode/Shower Chair Technology Filling Mobility Needs For Handicapped People and Challenged Seniors

TUCSON, AZ, August 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) GO! Mobility Solutions announced today that its President and CEO, Rick Goldstein, has been issued U.S. Patent No. 7,980,584 by the U.S. Patent and Trade Office.

The patent, entitled "Portable Commode, Shower and Bath Wheelchair Apparatus", was issued on July 19, 2011, and covers technology utilized in Mr. Goldstein's portable commode/shower wheelchair invention being marketed as the Go-Anywhere Commode, Shower 'n Tub Chair by GMS. This invention enables wheelchair-bound and partially-ambulatory individuals to bathe safely and comfortably at home or on-the-road. Where a roll-in shower is not available, the seat assembly may be easily slid on to a frame placed within a bathtub, rendering the inaccessible, accessible. The Chair may be assembled and disassembled in just a few minutes, without the use of any tools. International patents are being filed for IP protection around the world as the demand for GMS' products knows no borders. Two additional patent applications for portable commode/shower chair technology are currently under review by the USPTO with more to follow.
