BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, September 22, 2010 (Press-News.org) Fancy dress fanatics are sure to be out in force for the Brisbane Zombie Walk, which takes place towards the end of next month.
The event, which is organised to raise money for the Brain Foundation of Australia, will see hordes of people dressing up as the undead and taking to the city's streets on October 24th 2010.
According to the organisers, the event is purely for fun and is typically a hit with people who are "obsessed with the living dead", although anyone who just wants to take part and generate some money for a good cause is more than welcome to get involved.
With the 2009 procession proving a real hit with locals and guests staying in the cheap accommodation Brisbane has available, a registration form has been brought in ahead of this year's spectacle.
The team behind the event explained this will help them to "provide the powers that be with a rough figure on how many minions to expect".
It will get underway at Wickham Park at 15:00 local time, although participants have been urged to arrive at least half an hour before then to make sure they get a good position and hear any last-minute announcements.
After heading towards the city, the walk will finish at Centenary Place on Ann Street, with an over-18s after-party then set to take place at a secret venue in Fortitude Valley.
For more information on this event, visit the Brisbane Zombie Walk website.
