SAN ANTONIO, TX, September 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) Veteran municipal law attorney William "Mick" McKamie of San Antonio has been honored with the International Municipal Lawyers Association's prestigious Marvin J. Glink Private Practice Local Government Attorney Award in honor of his distinguished career and commitment to his community and profession.
Mr. McKamie, co-founder of San Antonio-based McKamie Krueger, LLP, received the honor during the 76th annual International Municipal Lawyers Association conference in Chicago on Sept. 13. The Marvin J. Glink award was established to recognize private practice municipal lawyers with a record of outstanding public service and a commitment to improving the legal profession, among other criteria.
Mr. McKamie focuses his practice on municipal law, land use, constitutional law, civil rights and civil litigation. Over the course of a career spanning three decades, he has been instrumental in making McKamie Krueger's municipal law practice one of the most respected groups of attorneys in Texas.
