AsiaRooms.com - Seminyak Visitors to Savour Nusa Dua Fiesta

The talents of some of Bali's professional cooks will be shown off at the Nusa Dua Fiesta.

2010-09-23
SEMINYAK, INDONESIA, September 23, 2010 (Press-News.org) Bali's catering and hospitality industries are gearing up to impress tourists who visit the Nusa Dua Fiesta midway through next month.

Set to take place on the glorious white sandy beach of Nusa Dua, the event will run between October 16th and 20th 2010, showcasing the talents of some of the paradise island's many talented chefs.

A variety of authentic Balinese dishes will be prepared, including bebeck betutu, a delicacy made from duck wrapped in banana leaves and seasoned with local spices.

It is traditionally cooked by burying it in the ground and covering it with hot coals for six to seven hours.

With marriage being one of the reasons behind many people's trips to Bali, the Nusa Dua Fiesta will also be used to show off the abilities of local wedding cake makers.

However, tourists staying in Seminyak hotels who make the short trip to Nusa Dua to witness the event will be entertained with much more than just high-quality food displays.

The organisers - namely the Indonesian Chef Association and the Bali Tourism Development Corporation - have also promised that watersports, family activities and a food bazaar will all be on the bill.

Furthermore, shopaholics will have the opportunity to search for bargains on fashion and art items.

AsiaRooms.com features a variety of Seminyak accommodation, including the Sanur Beach Hotel Seminyak.
