The Theatre by the Lake is set to welcome solo violinist Tasmin Little on April 22nd.

CUMBRIA, ENGLAND, March 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) Violin virtuoso Tasmin Little is set to perform alongside pianist Martin Roscoe in the Lake District next month.
 
The English musician, who has played to audiences around the world and released 25 recordings, will appear at the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick on Sunday April 22nd.
 
Little's repertoire for the evening includes the famous "Devil's Trill" violin sonata by Tartini, as well as Schubert's Duo Sonata in A major and From My Homeland by Smetana.
 
Tickets for the concert, which will begin in the theatre's Main House at 19:30 GMT, are priced between GBP4 and GBP14.
 
There will also be a pre-recital talk by John Cooper Green, conductor of the Ambleside and District Choral Society.
 
Little was praised for taking an innovative approach to classical music with her 2008 project The Naked Violin. This saw the musician use the internet to offer fans a series of free downloads featuring works for solo violin.
 
She was the subject of a South Bank Show documentary and also won a Classic FM Gramophone Award as a result of the project.
