SAN DIEGO, CA, May 23, 2012 (Press-News.org) In a report in Construction Digital, Brasfield & Gorrie Vice President and Division Manager George Paulson discusses how the Lake Nona VA Medical Center will improve the surrounding community.
The medical center is poised to bring a variety of benefits to the local community, including historical enterprise, as it is the first VA hospital to be built in the United States since 1995.
So far, the medical center is about 50% complete and is scheduled to wrap up construction next year. About $350 million worth of construction has been completed by contractor Brasfield & Gorrie in collaboration with electrical partner of choice Quinco Electrical.
As part of a larger development named Medical City, located adjacent to the University of Florida Medical School, the project will include a comprehensive range of facilities.
"What makes the project special is every service you could contemplate is housed in the hospital," explains Brasfield & Gorrie Vice President and Division Manager, George Paulson. "Any ailment that you could have can be fixed there."
