South Dakota Prairie Gateway Launches Regional Economic Development Web Solution

South Dakota Prairie Gateway partners with Golden Shovel Agency to provide website and social media for 16 local economic development organizations.

ABERDEEN, SD, June 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) South Dakota Prairie Gateway (SDPrairieGateway.org) was formally launched at a regional economic development conference held in Aberdeen, South Dakota. SD Prairie Gateway is a web-based portal for economic development information in Northeast South Dakota. Whether you are a site selector looking to locate in one of our communities or a local business in search of training opportunities and resources, this great new resource is for you. This project will pool resources and, in turn, build the strength of the region through the web-site, social media management, web-based training opportunities, and the development of a technology infrastructure for attracting new and expanding businesses to rural South Dakota.

In Northeast South Dakota, our economic development history is rooted in the pioneers who had a vision for developing the prairies. With funding provided by USDA Rural Development, GROW South Dakota, as lead partner in this project, has collaborated with the following local economic development organizations to launch this first of its kind project:
