Veterans Drink Free at Orlando Brewing on Flag Day, June 14th

2012-06-08
ORLANDO, FL, June 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) Come out to Orlando Brewing on Flag Day and have a pint of beer to celebrate America! Veterans will enjoy free beers on June 14th as we celebrate the adoption of the stars and stripes as our national colors.

"This Flag Day, and every flag day since we opened, we are proud to give back to the men and women who so courageously serve our country," said President of Orlando Brewing John Cheek. "We hope to see and honor many veterans and their families with free, handcrafted pints of beer, which are sure to put you in a celebratory mood."

Orlando Brewing is the only certified organic brewery in the state with about 20 of its beers on tap. The rustic-themed bar, not far from downtown in the industrial area of Orlando, produces 12 year-round beers and several seasonal and tasting-room-only small batches. The beer ingredients are organic and grown without insecticides, bioengineering, sewage sludge, petroleum based fertilizers or irradiation.

Cheek says the brewery never uses cheap fillers or adjuncts in its beers. The ales range from light and easy-drinking to very flavorful hoppy beers to malty Scottish ales and deep, dark, robust porters. The beer is fresh and never pasteurized.

For locals or those visiting Orlando, Orlando Brewing offers dozens of events like Flag Day, including Beer 30 when all Orlando Brewing beers are $2 on the 30th of the month and Sundays are Dogs Day Out when well-behaved dogs are invited to the brewery.

Hours are Monday to Thursday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 1 p.m. until late, and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Brewery tours are every day expect Sunday at 6 p.m.
