ATLANTA, GA, June 30, 2012 (Press-News.org) IndiePower.com and DIGITMAN Music to present the "Summer of SUM Tour", the 1st national purely independent music tour of its kind. Hosted by DJ Wild Child DNA of 66RAW.com and Music Choice, "Summer of SUM" will kick off Thursday, July 19, 2012 in San Diego, CA and run through Thursday, August 2, 2012 in Atlanta, GA. Other tour cities include; Columbia, SC, New Orleans, LA, Houston, TX, The Bay Area and SoCal. Wu-Tang South's Born Divine (Protect Ya Neck Records) and Digit (DIGITMAN Music) will headline the tour.

Sponsored by Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes, MonsterMusicRadio.com, DatUrbanConnect.com, 7th Wonder and Family Pro Entertainment; this unique tour offers independent recording artists the opportunity to showcase their talents on a national platform, while gaining the experience to help propel them to major status. Additionally, the up and coming performers will benefit from organic grass roots fan-base building in each city, learning tour preparation and execution, inclusion in radio mentions, publicity, advertising, social media, and other forms of tour and artist promotion.

According to Summer of SUM Tour Founder Seven Hughes, "The Summer of SUM Tour will help refine performance skills that can only be developed on tour; not in a studio. Moreover, it grants indie artists the knowledge and edge to become worthy of major distribution and record deals".

"Setting itself apart from typical open mic and showcase events, this tour; in its sophomore year is a legitimate way for acts to obtain national exposure and establish relationships with talent bookers, managers, music producers and other key entertainment pros," Hughes adds.

Featuring pop, r&b, hip hop and soul acts; the Summer of SUM Tour still has openings for guaranteed spots (@$200 per show) and complete tour feature acts (Starting @$4,000 which includes transportation, lodging, performance fees, 1 meal per day and all tour perks).

About The Summer of SUM Tour:

The Summer of SUM Tour is recognized on an international level and offers invaluable exposure, while creating opportunities for the featured artists.

Independent artists can earn up to $500 per show or up to $3,500 for the entire tour. Artists are paid a standard rate by the Summer of SUM Tour, plus a bonus based on the total amount of tickets sold in their name and venue occupancy.
