Siam Canadian # 11 on 'World's Top 30 Farmed Shrimp Suppliers' Report Also makes "Top 40 Asia Seafood Companies" Report Ranked on Intrafish Industry Reports

Siam Canadian Group has been ranked at the # 11 spot of the 'World's top 30 Farmed Shrimp Suppliers' and once again listed on 'Top 40 Asia Seafood Companies' latest report by Intrafish, one of the Seafood industry's most respective publications.

2012-07-02
BANGKOK, THAILAND, July 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) Siam Canadian Group has been ranked by Intrafish, one the seafood industry's most authoritative and respected publications at the # 11 spot of the 'World's Top 30 Farmed Shrimp Suppliers', having exported 22,000 Metric Tons of shrimp in 2011. In addition, Siam Canadian is once again listed on Intrafish's 'Top 40 Asia Seafood Companies' latest report.

Siam Canadian Group Managing Director James Gulkin said that he was very pleased to see the group ranked in these two very important reports. "Siam Canadian's expansion strategy has been paying off and we have seen steady growth over the past 5 years," said Gulkin.

The Bangkok based frozen seafood exporter and multi-service provider currently maintains offices in Vietnam, China, Indonesia and India in addition to its Thailand headquarters which was established in 1987. Siam Canadian also sources product from Malaysia and Bangladesh.

Although the group's marketing strategy primarily focuses on major trade fairs as well as direct advertising and the internet, the rapid growth of the business is as much a result of word of mouth as any other factor. According to Gulkin, "Over a quarter of a century, we have built a solid reputation as a highly competent and highly reliable organization. We now sell to major importers in over 70 countries. The industry knows our company and our reputation and people therefore hear about us. As a result developing new business and new accounts is often easier for us than it used to be. Simply put, our reputation precedes us."

Siam Canadian's 2011 sales turnover was US$ 290 million as per the Intrafish report. The group expects to exceed that figure in 2012.
