LIVERMORE, CA, July 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) Peter Stoller is a consummate professional--as a British intelligence agent, he's at the top of his game and has never had trouble separating his work from his personal life. But when he meets cabbie Charles Toulson, his personal life takes a turn he wasn't expecting. In "St. Peter in Chains," author M Pepper Langlinais explores what happens when a man in a high-stakes profession must maintain work/life balance.
While not the first spy story to feature a gay protagonist, "St. Peter in Chains" may be unique in that Peter's sexuality is incidental to the story. "It wasn't a conscious decision," says Pepper. "Maybe some writers plan out their characters, but mine are pretty much fully formed when I meet them. Writing becomes a getting-to-know-you process. Peter is gay for the same reason anyone is gay—because that's the way he is."
"St. Peter in Chains" is initially available as a Kindle eBook from Amazon.com. Editions for other devices will be forthcoming.
