TEMPE, AZ, July 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dixon Golf, manufacturers of the first high performance eco-friendly family of golf balls, announced today that they have donated more than $125,000 to charity in the first half of 2012.
"Giving back is at the core of what Dixon Golf does. When we started the company, we wanted to make a ball that was better for the environment. We achieved that. Step two was to give back to the community by donating to all the wonderful charities that help so many people," said Dixon Golf CEO William Carey.
Through the Dixon Challenge, a fun and innovative par-3 game, Dixon Golf has focused on two things - giving back to charity and growing the brand. The Challenge has helped them do just that.
"It is amazing what we've been able to accomplish," Carey continues. "We owe a lot of the success to the generosity of golfers."
Through the Challenge, money has been raised for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the First Tee, the Red Cross, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Rotary Club International and the Knights of Columbus, just to name a few.
Those holding charity golf events are encouraged to contact Dixon Golf at Donations@DixonGolf.com
