BARRIE, ON, July 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Busch Group of Companies, which includes NetGain SEO and several other local Barrie businesses are pleased to announce that employees will be participating in Barrie's Annual Dragon Boat Festival on August 25th, 2012.
The team will participate as the NetGain Navigators and will be raising donations to support Coast to Coast against Cancer.
The Barrie Dragon Boat Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2012. The Festival was established to promote community spirit, vitality and unity through friendly competition and fundraising opportunities for local charities and not-for-profit organizations. Since its inception, participants competing in the Dragon Boat Festival have supported over one hundred local charities and raised over $1,250,000.
"It's a lot of fun to have a friendly competition between businesses," says Drew, "The Dragon Boat Festival is great way to share a common goal and show our support for charities that help those living with cancer". In the past three years, The Busch Group of Companies has collectively raised over $16,000 for cancer research.
Coast to Coast Against Cancer, is Canada's only national charity devoted to fighting childhood cancer. Coast to Coast Against Cancer ensures 100% of funds raised go toward improving the survival rate and quality of life of children and their families impacted by cancer. This year's team goal is to raise $7,500; people interested in making a donation can contact team captain Kasia De Luca at kasia@netgainseo.com.
NetGain SEO and the Busch Group of Companies participated in the Dragon Boat Festival as the Archive Argos in 2010. The team won the Silver Division and the Small Business Championship for being the top placing small business. Last year saw the team improve and win the Gold Consolation Final, placing the Busch Group of Companies 16th out of 53 teams; and also repeating as Small Business Champions. This year, the team is participating as the NetGain Navigators for the first time, and will be aiming for a top ten finish.
